Privacy Policy

1) Information we receive

• • Listing and location data displayed on this site comes from public/state-published records.
• • Account data: When you create an account to claim a listing, we collect your email address and an encrypted password through Supabase Authentication.
• • Payment data: Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers. Stripe may collect billing details per their privacy policy.
• • Provider-uploaded content: Premium listing holders may upload photos, logos, descriptions, hours, pricing, amenities, and FAQs. This content is stored in Supabase Storage and our database.
• • Analytics: If you consent, Google Analytics receives standard usage signals such as pages viewed and interaction events.
• • We store filter/search UI state in your browser session storage to preserve your browsing state while you navigate.
• • If you use location search, your query is sent to our geocoding endpoint and then forwarded to OpenStreetMap Nominatim to resolve coordinates.
• • If you email us, we receive the information you include in your message.

3) Third-party services

Ohio Parent Hub uses third-party services for analytics and map/location functionality:

• • Google Analytics (with consent) for traffic and interaction measurement.
• • Supabase for authentication and data storage.
• • Stripe for payment processing and subscription management.
• • CARTO and OpenStreetMap tile services for interactive maps.
• • OpenStreetMap Nominatim for address/location geocoding requests.

These providers may process technical request data (for example IP address, user agent, and request metadata) according to their own privacy policies.

4) Cookies and browser storage

We use browser session storage for temporary filter and map state. This data stays in your browser and is generally cleared when the tab/session ends.

Strictly necessary cookies: Supabase sets authentication cookies (prefixed sb-) to manage login sessions. These are essential for account functionality and do not require consent.

Analytics cookies: Google Analytics sets cookies (such as _ga) only if you accept analytics cookies via the consent banner. You can change your preference at any time by clearing your browser cookies; the consent banner will reappear.

Cookie consent preference: We store your cookie consent choice in browser localStorage so we can respect it across visits.

5) Data accuracy and corrections

Licensing status, license type, license dates, and SUTQ ratings are sourced from official records. We do not manually override those official values on individual listings.

If you report an issue, we can review it, fix display-level errors where applicable, and refresh listings after source updates.

6) Accounts and your data

Childcare providers may create an account to claim and manage their listing. Account data includes your email address and an encrypted password stored securely in Supabase. We do not sell or share personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

If you cancel your subscription, your premium listing content is deactivated. To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact us through our Contact page.

7) Provider-uploaded content

Premium listing holders can upload photos, logos, and other content. By uploading, providers confirm they have the right to use that content. Uploaded files are stored in Supabase Storage and displayed publicly on the listing page.
